Eric joined NorthLanding Financial Partners in 2014, recognizing the firm’s commitment to excellence in client service and foundationally sound approaches to financial planning and investment management. He became a Partner in 2020.
Over his 25-year career, he has developed the skill, knowledge and insight to advise families with complex financial circumstances. His process clarifies objectives and identifies pathways to achieve them, starting with a clear picture of where his clients are today, to then provide a view of what their tomorrows may bring. He offers objective advice to a select number of individuals and families in the areas of retirement income planning, investment management, and estate distribution.
Eric began his career in 1997 at John Hancock helping clients plan for the possibility of needing long-term care services in the future. In 2001 he transitioned to Sagemark Consulting, an independent fee-based financial planning firm, to provide a more comprehensive service. He has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner (CFP®) since 2003 and maintains both the Chartered Life Underwriter® and Chartered Financial Consultant® professional designations.
His passions outside of work include photography and the outdoors. In 2013, he was fortunate enough to share the experience of summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro with his father and sister, but his true love for the mountains was born and still lives in the high peaks of the Adirondacks. Eric is an alumnus of McQuaid Jesuit High School and Colgate University. He resides in Penfield with his wife, Lori, and their three children, Madeleine, Andrew & Elliot.
